You, Your Family and/or Group Can Help Paint a Piece of Lemont History!
Work with professional Lemont artists Mona Parry and Rob Moriarty
to paint in their original design commemorating Lemont 1920’s and
‘30’s Aviator and Speed Racer Rudy Kling.
All Painting Participants will be entered for a chance to win:
Painters aged 21 and up:
5-Day 4-night Cruise for 2 including port fees ($2198 value)
Painters under 21:
I-Pod Touch ($350 value)
A Project of the Lemont Arts & Culture Commission
Sponsored by Marquette Companies and the Front Street Lofts of Lemont
Painting will be done on a moveable canvas, set up in the first floor of the Front Street Lofts.
Painting Sessions are rain or shine!
The Mural will be installed on the All-Service Garage Building upon completion.
Dedication will take place in September.
Ten painter positions will be open for each 2-hour shift during the public painting hours each day.
Individuals and Drop –in painters are welcome if space permits. We encourage reservations!
Shift reservations are first come, first served.
The Public Painting schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, July 21: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Wednesday, July 22: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Thursday, July 23: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Friday, July 24: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturday, July 25: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Sunday, July 26: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Tuesday, July 28: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Wednesday, July 29: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Thursday, July 30: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Friday, July 31: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturday, Aug 1: 10:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Sunday, Aug 2: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Youth Groups must be supervised by adults. Civic Groups, Clubs, Neighborhoods, School Groups, Scouts, Teams, Companies, Church Groups, Organizations, Arts Groups, Birthday Parties are encouraged to take part. Materials and painting direction will be supplied on site.
